How Fluidlab was born
Over the years, I analyzed thousands of oil samples, uncovering hidden machine issues, design flaws, and critical contamination — each one putting equipment at serious risk. In the 1990s, Finland’s industrial sector began recognizing the importance of particle cleanliness, demanding more precise lubricant analyses. When traditional laboratories couldn’t meet these growing demands, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
My goal was to build a service that didn’t just react to problems but proactively identified and prevented them. I brought together an expert team that combined cleanliness and wear metal analysis with traditional oil testing. And that’s how Fluidlab was born — committed to not only meeting, but often exceeding, customer expectations.
Fluidlab quickly became Finland’s leading lubricant analysis laboratory. But we don’t stop there — continuous development and pursuing new solutions remain at the core of everything we do.
I have tried to lead ‘Fluidis’ with the lessons I learned from the person who had the greatest impact on my life — my supervisor, mentor, and an extraordinary human being, Björn ‘Nalle’ Lindström.
